CBWA’s through Ideate are always trauma-informed and dignity-based in order to promote an individual’s self confidence. Many Job Seekers, especially those that have not been employed for a long period of time, are generally very sensitive to their barriers, and a mishap in an assessment has a higher potential to set them back. In the case of Ideate’s CBWA’s, if a Job Seeker does not like the task they are assigned once they arrive on site, the assessment is changed so that no person is obligated to complete tasks they have no vocational interest in. Though CBWA’s are chosen based on a Job Seekers stated vocational interests, often the desired work environment is different in person than what the individual had expected.
